CMA Professional Program

Target candidate: University graduates from all disciplines with an interest in accounting and who aspire
to senior-management and executive positions in the private, public, and non-for-profit sectors.
Having successfully met the entry requirements, candidates progress through the 18-month CMA Professional
Program (also known as the CMA Strategic Leadership Program) concurrent with full-time employment.

This dynamic program explores and applies the practices that innovative enterprises adopt to succeed in a
competitive global environment.
The program allows candidates to develop six functional competencies and four enabling competencies, as
follows:

At the heart of the program is a series of interactive sessions that allow candidates to exchange views and
experiences on program concepts under the guidance of experienced moderators. Each of the program modules
includes an intense two-day interactive session. Candidates also complete a series of individual and group
projects applying these concepts to their own organizations.
Complementary to the integrated format of the CMA Professional Program, students are required to be
simultaneously employed in a role in the territory of management accounting during their course of
studies.
The CMA Professional Program is currently administered in partnership with the Cave Hill School of
Business - UWI (Barbados), but classes take place throughout the Caribbean.
