Daniel Clarke, CMA, FCMA
Dan is the president of Helly Hansen Canada Ltd. In addition to serving on the board of CMA Nova Scotia,
Bermuda, and the Caribbean since 2006, he is a moderator in the CMA Professional Program, and the
immediate-past president of the Atlantic chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI). Dan received
his CMA designation in 2003 and has a strong desire to give back to the professional organization that
enabled him to reach his true career potential. Dan is currently the first vice-chair of the board.
Peter Conrod, MBA, CMA
Peter is Vice President - Business and Client Strategies with RBC Royal Bank. Prior to assuming this role,
Peter was the regional vice-president of RBC Financial Group, Commercial Financial Services, Atlantic Canada.
He is a graduate of Dalhousie University (bachelor of commerce) and the Ivey School of Business (MBA), and is
a fellow of the Institute of Commercial Bankers. Peter has been a CMA since 1999 and was the recipient of the
E. L. Whitman Gold Medal that year. His past volunteer positions include chair of the YMCA of Greater Halifax
Dartmouth, FEI International – Atlantic Chapter, and the Halifax Industrial Commission. Peter joined the
board in 2008 and is currently second vice-chair of the board for the Society and a past member of CMA
Canada’s National Certification Board.
Natalia Kochetova-Kozloski, PhD, CMA
Natalia is an Associate Professor at Saint Mary's University, Sobey School of Business, Department of
Accounting and Commercial Law, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Natalia has served on not-for-profit boards in the
past, as well as on various audit and risk management committees. Natalia currently serves on committees of
the Canadian Academic Accounting Association, the American Accounting Association, the Institute of Corporate
Directors, and Financial Executives International (FEI). Natalia joined the board in 2010 and is currently a
member of the Society’s Audit and Risk Committee.
Glen LeBlanc, CMA, FCMA
Glen is the Chief Financial Officer for Bell Aliant Inc. An active volunteer, Glen has received awards for
outstanding community contribution and was named one of Canada's Top 40 under 40. Glen completed his bachelor
of commerce in 1989 at Saint Mary's University and received his CMA designation in 1994. In 2007, he was
honoured with the FCMA distinction in recognition of his continued involvement in the community, with CMA,
and in his career. He has been a member of the board since 2005, currently serving as chair.
Shanna Lespere, CMA
Shanna is the Director of Supervision, Insurance - Complex Institutions within the Bermuda Monetary
Authority. A member of the executive team, she has responsibility for the licensing and authorisation of all
insurance entities, agents, brokers, and salespeople conducting business from or within Bermuda. She holds a
BSc (Hons) in Biology from Acadia University and was awarded the CMA designation in 1996. Shanna previously
worked as a senior accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers (Bermuda), and then began her career in the
insurance industry at Aon Insurance Managers (Bermuda) Ltd. where she worked for eight years before joining
the Bermuda Monetary Authority in 2004. Shanna has sat on the board since 2006, representing the interests of
members and students in Bermuda.
Joe Moore, CMA, CMC
Joe is a Partner in the Career Transition practice with Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette, a human resources
consulting firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada. He has been providing leadership development, career
guidance, financial counseling and retirement planning advice to their clients for 20 years. A strong
contributor to his community, Joe is a current member of the board of Prescott Group, a non-profit
organization that builds independence for adults who are intellectually challenged. He has volunteered with
the IWK Children’s Hospital, the Grace Hospital, and the Special Olympics, as well as having previously sat
on the CMA Nova Scotia board of directors for a period of three years.
Byron Rafuse, CMA
As the Controller and Associate Deputy Minister of Finance for the province of Nova Scotia, Byron provides
strategic leadership in the development of corporate systems, financial and accounting policy, and financial
statement presentation. Byron sits on the Public Sector Accounting Board - a board under the Accounting
Standards Oversight Council (AcSOC) that establishes standards and guidance for financial reporting by all
Canadian public sector entities. Byron has served as a CMA mentor in the past, and has been a member of the
board since 2005.
Jeffrey Sealy, MBA, CMA, FCMA
Jeff specializes in the area of business performance improvement, with the development of strategic cost
management solutions. He is the principal consultant with a Caribbean-based consulting firm, Business
Solutions Network. In addition to his current role, Jeff's past experience includes work with KPMG and Shell
International Petroleum Company. Jeff was the first student in the Eastern Caribbean to complete the CMA
program and was a founding member of the CMA Barbados Chapter. Jeff was awarded the FCMA designation in 2009,
in recognition of his career accomplishments and strong involvement with CMA and in his community. Jeff has
been a member of the board, representing the interests of our Caribbean-based members, since 2009.
